What is the best slingshot for a child?

First, let's be clear. Slingshots can be dangerous and anyone under 18 should only shoot slingshots under careful supervision. We're sure you understand that, so . . .

The best choice for kids is almost always the Scout (LT or X).

The Scout XT is the #1 choice for many due to its grip / palm swell. While the handle of the X is larger, this heft actually makes it very easy for a youngster to perform a hammer grip which is the most intuitive grip and safest for kids.
The X also has tall forks meaning the projectile travels farther away from the hand during the shot.

The LT is also a great choice since its fork grip is quite small. We recommend this for the smallest of hands.

A few tips:
Shoot OTT (over the top) to keep the projectile as far as possible from the shooter's hands.
Always wear safety glasses.
