All SimpleShot bands come tied in what some call the TTF (Through the Forks) orientation. This refers to the way the pouch is attached to the latex (folded twice, not once).
Occasionally we get a question about using a so-called TTF band in an OTT configuration. Sometimes shooters will be concerned that they cannot use the bands supplied because they shoot OTT (this is an idea you'll find on YouTube and some forums).
Our official stance is that there is NO affect whatsoever on shooting, using a "TTF" band OTT. Any tiny difference in the band is not visible at draw and accuracy is NOT affected in the least.
That said, if you just HAVE to have a band tied OTT, that's great! We know very well the importance of personal preferrence and that's why we offer a huge lineup of band tying materials . . . so you can fine tune your bands to YOU! We say this all the time: do what's best for YOU. If you must have bands tied OTT, tie them up OTT and have fun!
We've been saying this for years, but ATO Mark ecently posted an in-depth look at this topic.
NOTE This is his own independent testing. It was not requested by us and he is not even using SimpleShot Latex or slingshot. But we sure agree with his take. Enjoy!
